☆Finance Controller Job Description:
This position will be responsible for all aspects of non-accounting financial planning, analysis and control. Working in concert with the Director of Accounting, the Finance Controller will report to the VP Finance.
☆Duties And Responsibilities:
1:Management of the Company’s receivables, both premium and loss related
2:Management of the Premium Audit Function
3:Leadership of the Finance Team to develop a Best Practices Team committed to timeliness, accuracy and analysis
4:Accounts payable, payroll, reinsurance accounting (both assumed and ceded) statistical reporting to NCCI, and investment accounting
5:Treasury management for operating cash accounts and related banking relationships
6:Consolidation reporting to parent company
7:Annual Plan and Budget preparation and compliance
8:Supervision of GAAP and STAT accounting, statutory reporting, tax and financial compliance and reporting, budget versus actual reporting and results analysis
☆Position Requirements:
1:Strong time management skills with a successful work history of managing tight deadlines
2:Sound initiative and ability to work with minimum supervision
3:Customer focused and results oriented
4:Highly developed communication and inter-personal skills
5:Strong technical accounting knowledge
6:High conceptual and analytical abilities
7:Bi-lingualism (English/French) is an asset
8:Advanced proficiency with Excel, Access, Word and PowerPoint
9:Strong ERP experience – SAP preferred
☆Salary: $11.00 - $14:00 Hourly DOE
