☆Construction Controller Job Description:
Our USA division is growing steadily and emerging as one of the top heavy civil construction firms in the nation. We are currently looking to hire a Document Controller to work out of our White Plains New York Branch office with our estimating and business development teams on new bid as we expand our business practice here in the USA nationally.
☆Duties And Responsibilities:
1:Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities;
2:In charge of all aspects of accounting including certified payroll and mechanic's lean laws and prevailing wage laws.
3:Guides project operations by developing, writing, and updating policies, procedures, and guidelines.
4:Keeps supplies ready by developing and monitoring inventory systems.
5:Manages sub-contractors by developing and evaluating bids
6:Controls project expense by categorizing and analyzing expenditures
7:Develops project plans by advising clients regarding project objectives and requirements
8:Meets project control operational standards by contributing project control information to strategic plans and reviews;
9:Meets project control financial standards by providing project control annual budget information
10:Develops cost estimates by analyzing construction documents; applying historical and standard costs and estimating data;
☆Position Requirements:
1:Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills
2:Ideally has worked in service company environment with inventory and a ‘dispatch’ system
3:Has worked with a purchase order system and AP
4:Thorough understanding of cost accounting and management of same
5:Processing sales commissions and managing same with sales team
6:Extensive experience with Excel spreadsheets and formulas
7:Thorough knowledge of and experience with BATCH PROCESS accounting systems (QuickBooks does not meet this requirement)
8:Processing payroll of at least 35 people on an in-house payroll system, including certified payroll and prevailing wage
9:Managing Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable including filing of mechanics liens
10:Managed staff of at least five people with track record for successfully producing results through others
11:Bachelor’s degree with emphasis on accounting. CPA a plus
☆Salary: $12.00 - $14:00 Hourly DOE
