☆Accounting Controller Job Description:
Our client, a very small company in the manufacturing/distribution industry, is seeking a stand alone Controller/Accounting Manager to work in their office in West Chicago, IL
☆Duties And Responsibilities:
1:Understand and enforce GSA reporting requirements
2:Enforce policies developed by corporate counsel to comply with customer and vendor paperwork requirements
3:Supervise accounting department staff (5 employees)
4:Prepare monthly closing including adjusting journal entries and account reconciliations
5:Ensure compliance with sales and use tax laws of multiple states and filing of required sales and use tax returns
6:Prepare bi-weekly for payroll including calculation of sales commissions and other incentive pay using Paychex payroll service
7:Prepare monthly financial statements in accordance with GAAP for software vendors
☆Position Requirements:
1:Driving to work is recommended
2:Ability to work in a fast paced environment
3:Person should be flexible and have a positive attitude
4:Must be professional, self motivated, reliable and punctual
5:Excellent organization skills
6:Excellent oral and written communication skills
7:Notary Public License required
8:CPA preferred
9:Must have 7 years of accounting experience
10:Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required
11:Proficiency with QuickBooks Online and Excel are mandatory
☆Salary: $13.00 - $14:00 Hourly DOE
